Alwaleed Philanthropies Supports The Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative
Believing in initiatives that aim to improve the level of advancement in Saudi society, Alwaleed Philanthropies and its board of directors chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud support “Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative” which promotes a legal culture in Saudi society. This initiative translates to “Aware”, is in partnership with the office of Mr. Faisal Altaya Law Firm.
Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative launched its program through the Women Entrepreneurs Forum at the Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh recently to bring out the legal culture in society generally and targeted legal education for women in particular. The initiative provides educational lectures and pillars of free legal advice by specialists of both genders in all legal areas of concern to women in various fields, both on a practical and personal level.
These lectures will be held at several well-founded universities in Riyadh where legal advisors will be available for free legal advice in several forums and exhibitions.
Ms. Nora Al-Maliki, General Manager of the Saudi Department at Alwaleed Philanthropies, stated that the initiative is an important addition to Alwaleed Philanthropies' activities and it’s a continued support for the development of Saudi women through creating awareness in several aspects of their lives and most importantly legal aspects. The Initiative serves as the embodiment of achieving the Foundation’s ambitions to develop legal awareness among Saudi women.
Moreover, this is the second program of the sort by Alwaleed Philanthropies in the legal field for women’s empowerment. The Foundation partnered with Mawadah Association, which is chaired by HRH Princess Sarah Bint Mosaad, to enable 500 Female Saudi Lawyer for practicing the Legal profession in the community and the legal courts of Saudi Arabia.
