Women and Youth Empowerment, Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global"’ Initiative Supported “The Public Relations & Media Diploma”
Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative of Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global", has sponsored “The Public Relations and Media Diploma” in partnership with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce.
The diploma is a one year academic program that aims to enable Saudi female professionals in the field of Media and Public Relations, and covers a variety of topics including Communications Tools, Public Relations Management, Media Planning, Media Campaigns, Media Impact, Social Media, and Press Releases.
The partnership between the ladies branch of The Chamber of Commerce and Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" is in support of a shared goal towards women empowerment and enhancing their leadership roles in the community. “Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative” works on supporting government initiatives, nonprofit organizations and the private sector to enable females to enter the labor market at all levels of education, and works to create modern jobs in line with the current advancement of Saudi society. It is collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce in training for employment, which is essential in the labor market.
A ceremony was held in celebration of the opening of “The Public Relations and Media Diploma” at the Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony included an opening speech from Mrs. Nouf AlRakan, Head of Businesswomen Council followed by a brief by Princess Hela Bint Abdulrahman Alsaud, General Manager of the Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Abir Kaki, Secretary General, Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" gave a statement and a brief about the Women Empowerment initiative was given by Mrs. Nora AlMalki, Executive Manager of Development Projects at Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global".
“Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative” aims to support women’s empowerment issues, emphasize their leadership within the society, empower women economically, develop their productivity and enhance their capacity in functional and technical fields. The initiative also supported the decision of the Ministry of Labor for the feminization of sales employees of shops, by training females who wish to be employed in sales.
Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 90 countries. Their main focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women and Youth Empowerment, as well as Promoting Intercultural Understanding.
