Prince Alwaleed Celebrates Saudi National Day by Distributing Housing Units in Support of Saudi Citizens. Alwaleed Philanthropies' Housing Initiative Reaches More Than 8,000 Beneficiaries. HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alwaleed Philanthropies, celebrated the Saudi National Day on Tuesday 23rd September 2014, with the residents of Otayqua community in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the Housing Initiative. Thousands of eligible Saudi citizens have received housing units in the Otayqua district. This initiative reflected the values of the National Day’s spirit. This action brings the number of beneficiaries of the Alwaleed Philanthropies' Housing Initiative to more than 8,000 Saudi citizens.
Upon His Royal Highness’s arrival to the location, the people of Otayqua gathered around him to express their genuine delight with his visit to share such a celebration. During the visit, His Royal Highness clearly expressed his interest in identifying the living conditions of the Otayqua residents and their needs that could be met by the Foundation. In this regard, Prince Alwaleed was adamant to hand over the units to the beneficiaries in person and attended four separate lunch invitations by the families.
Lastly, the visit was concluded with Magh’reb prayer with the residents at Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque accompanied by Alsheikh Zaid AlMugaidhed. HRH was also accompanied by Dr. Nahla Nasser Alanber, Private Executive Assistance to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Hassan Mukhtar, Private Affairs Manager to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Fahad AlOtaibi, Executive Assistance to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Mohammed Al Eisa, Assistant Executive Manager of Finance and Procurement and Mr. Mohammed Alfaraj, Assistant Manager Travel & External Affairs.
It is vital to note that Alwaleed Philanthropies are one of the pioneers in housing initiatives, in which eligible citizens were granted housing units. Such initiatives are taken to echo the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz in this regard. The housing initiative is a long-term strategic project in partnership with a number of organizations that focus on housing. They ensures the services reach those who deserve it nationwide. This is with the execution and supervision of both Ms. Nora Almaliki, General Manager of the Saudi Department, Princess Lamia Bint Majid Alsaud, Executive Manager Public Relations and Media, Ms. Al Anoud Almohammadi, Executive Manager for Social Projects and Ms. Amal Alkathiri Project Officer.
