Partnership Agreement Between DGDA and Alwaleed Philanthropies to Foster Crafts, Volunteering, and Cultural Heritage

The Alwaleed Philanthropies project, in collaboration with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, focuses on enhancing capabilities in the artistic and cultural fields and organizing events to preserve heritage and cultural identity. Additionally, it supports volunteering and social services while providing vocational training for the youth through initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and community service. This partnership aligns with the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the mission of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority to develop Diriyah into a significant historical site in Saudi Arabia. As the first capital of the Saudi state, Diriyah holds fundamental historical importance to the kingdom's foundations.

The project aims to coordinate volunteer initiatives by unifying efforts to maximize their impact on the community. It also works on establishing a crucial partnership to empower women and youth, enhancing their roles in volunteering, community service, and areas of mutual interest.

This partnership extends to support artisans by providing them with a platform to showcase their creative initiatives in crafts and products through the Diriyah Gate Development Authority. Furthermore, the project is committed to elevating employment prospects through professional training and development for 400 young Saudi men and women. This includes a work readiness program for participants to learn job skills and improve their performance in global hotels.

The partnership with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority is built on strong foundations, combining integrated elements and partnerships to achieve its ambitious goals.

First, the Education for Employment (EFE) project is a cornerstone in creating professional opportunities and developing youth skills. This project aims to guide and train 100 young men and women, with 50 graduates fully prepared to enter the job market with confidence, 49 of whom have been employed, contributing to their professional stability and sustainability.

Secondly, through a partnership with the World Organization of the Scout Movement, young leaders at the Diriyah Gate Development Authority are motivated and empowered. This opportunity allows 24 unique female leaders to receive training that can enhance their leadership and organizational abilities, accompanied by qualified Saudi female trainers. Additionally, 100 young scouts have been successfully integrated to form a new generation of inspiring and influential leaders in their community.
