Alwaleed Philanthropies Grants 249 Housing Units & 249 Cars to its Beneficiaries as part of the 10,000 Housing & 10,000 Car Grants Project

Alwaleed Philanthropies (AP), chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, announced the delivery of the fifth installment of housing units and cars to 249 beneficiaries in Saudi Arabia. The grant is part of the foundation’s Housing & Cars Grants Project, where 10,000 housing units and 10,000 cars are distributed amongst Saudi citizens throughout the Kingdom over the duration of 10 years.

Alwaleed Philanthropies seeks to improve the living standards of Saudi citizens through various community development projects. The Housing and Cars Grants Project is one of its largest initiatives and targets eligible Saudi citizens, based on criteria set by Alwaleed Philanthropies.

The Housing & Cars Grants Project aims to provide savings, whether this be on transportation or rent, to allow extra disposable income for these families. This extra income can truly make a difference towards improving their standard of living. The eligibility criteria is available on the foundation’s website (http://alwaleedphilanthropies.org/apply-grant).

“We at Alwaleed Philanthropies are conscious of the burden rent can have on many Saudi families,” says Alanoud Al Mohammadi, Executive Manager of Saudi initiatives at Alwaleed Philanthropies. “Too often, we see women who are widowed or divorced having to support families of 6 to 9 people on a meager income. We remain committed to improving these families’ living standards.”

For over 35 years, Alwaleed Philanthropies has supported and initiated projects in over 120 countries regardless of gender, race, or religion. We collaborate with a range of philanthropic, government, and educational organizations to combat poverty, empower women and youth, develop communities, provide disaster relief and create cultural understanding through education. Together, we can build bridges for a more compassionate, tolerant, and accepting world.
