Alwaleed Philanthropies Announces the Graduation of its Wa’iya Legal Program Female Trainees

Alwaleed Philanthropies (AP), chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud announced today the graduation of its Saudi female trainees from the Legal Eligibility Training through “Wa’iya” in partnership with Faisal Al Taye Legal Firm. The training conducted aims to qualify Saudi women who are looking to pursue a career in the field of Law. 

 

The Legal Eligibility Training was initiated on March 23, 2016, as part of the Wa’iyah Program, where the trainees completed seminars conducted by professionals in the Legal field. Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser, Legal Adviser Mr. Faisal Al Taye, and Ms. Nauf Alajmi participated in the lectures along with a group of experienced legal consultants. The topics in the seminar varied between Saudi legal systems and the explanation of ways in which they are applied. The seminars focused on Shari’ah Law and its regulations, along with new corporate legal procedures, criminal legal procedures, labor laws, the different types of market securities and execution, Capital Market Authority regulations, the judicial system, legal systems and protocol. Additionally, the lecturers explained the system of inheritance and personal status law in relevance topics such as divorce, separation, and child custody. 

 

Alwaleed Philanthropies’ efforts in empowering women and youth is evident in its commitment to the continuous work of the Wa’iya Program. “We are proud of what Wa’iyah has accomplished in providing Saudi women with the necessary skills.
