Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" Supports WAMA Foundation in Tanzania

Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" has partnered with WAMA Foundation in Tanzania. The foundation has completed the construction of 6 classrooms, 2 dormitories and 12 staff houses at WAMA Nakayama Secondary School for disadvantaged girls, reaching more than 200 direct beneficiaries and 530 indirect beneficiaries.

Wanawake Na Maendeleo (WAMA) Foundation is a non- governmental, non-profit organization founded by the Tanzanian First Lady, Mama Salma Kikwete in October 2006 in Dar Al-Salaam, Tanzania. The main goal of the organization is to improve the living standard of women, girls and other vulnerable children through promoting them to access to education and health service. In addition to capacity building for economic empowerment.

Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 80 countries. Their main focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women and Youth Empowerment, as well as Promoting Intercultural Understanding.
