Alwaleed Philanthropies Awarded for its Role in Women Employment

Alwaleed Philanthropies that is chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud received an award from The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce for its role in women employment, presented by Princess Hela Bint Abdulrahman, General Manager of the ladies branch.

Alwaleed Philanthropies supported young female nationals, and contributed to the elimination of unemployment. It also supported government initiatives, non-profit organizations and the private sector to enable youth to enter the labor market at all levels of education, and worked to create modern jobs in line with the current advancement of Saudi society. It is also collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce in training for employment, which is essential in the labor market.

Alwaleed Philanthropies worked towards the economic empowerment of women, especially in training for employment, and supported the decision of the Ministry of Labor for the feminization of sales employees of shops, by training females who wish to be employed in sales.

“Hama” aims to support women’s empowerment issues, emphasize their leadership within the society, empower women, develop their productivity and enhance their capacity in functional and technical fields.

Alwaleed Philanthropies is involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in more than 90 countries. Their main focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women and Youth Empowerment, as well as Promoting Intercultural Understanding.
