Alwaleed Philanthropies announces winners ‘Saudi Inspire Hub’ competition in collaboration with Prince Sultan University (PSU)

Alwaleed Philanthropies chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, supported the first ‘Saudi Inspire Hub’ in the form of a design competition in collaboration with Prince Sultan University’s Interior Design department under the Faculty of Engineering. This initiative is in line with Alwaleed Philanthropies’ goals to inspire Saudi women and youth and embrace their career ambitions.

The competition provided an opportunity for 25-students studying interior design to  present their different proposals that portray the development of Saudi urban heritage  interiors by mainstreaming new and old patterns and a selection of local food to be presented in a new and modern way.

Her Royal Highness Princess Lamia bint Majid AlSaud, the Secretary-General of Alwaleed Philanthropies and a member of the board, expressed a wave of gratitude and elation for all the design students who competed for the top 3-design award categories. HRH also gave a synopsis of Alwaleed Philanthropies’ scope and work promoting local urban designs and heritage projects and how it is essential to empower women and youth through Alwaleed Philanthropies. Twenty-five female students enrolled in the competition under the supervision of Dr. Haifa Al-Hababi.

In attendance: HRH Princess Lamia Bint Majid AlSaud, Secretary General of Alwaleed Philanthropies and Amal Al-Kathiri, Executive Manager of National Initiatives and Prince Sultan’s faculty and students. HRH thanked Prince Sultan University students and faculty members for their earnest efforts, dedication and gave a brief description of Alwaleed Philanthropies’ projects and scope in the field of heritage and culture. 10 students were selected in the finals and Ms. Amal Al Kathiri, the Executive Manager of the National Initiatives Department, at Alwaleed Philanthropies handed rewards to the 3-top designer winners were:
In first place, Shaden Al-Majali, second place was Ghaida Al Fayez and in third place, BadoorAlsaab.
