Alwaleed Philanthropies Receives 2025 EU Chaillot Prize for Promoting Human Rights in the GCC

Alwaleed Philanthropies, chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, has been awarded the 2025 Chaillot Prize for the Promotion of Human Rights in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This distinguished honor recognizes Alwaleed Philanthropies’ commitment to advancing humanitarian values, fostering understanding and collaboration, and working toward a world where opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of gender, race, or religion.
The award was presented at Alwaleed Philanthropies’ headquarters in Riyadh, where HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud received the prize from HE Christophe Farnaud, Ambassador of the European Union to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This milestone highlights the foundation’s role as a catalyst for positive social change through strategic partnerships.
The Chaillot Prize is awarded annually by the European Union Delegations to the GCC to organizations and institutions that demonstrate tangible impact in advancing human rights. Alwaleed Philanthropies was selected for its holistic approach to social welfare, with a focus on building resilient and comprehensive institutional structures that expand opportunities and empower communities.
