Alwaleed Philanthropies Equestrian Team Achieves 1st Place Title in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Competition

Alwaleed Philanthropies (AP) Equestrian Team, which is owned by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Alwaleed Philanthropies, achieved the first place title on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques competition Al-‘Ula.

Over 40 competitors from various areas in the Kingdom participated in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques competition. The equestrians took off on Saturday at dawn. Alwaleed Philanthropies’ team member Abdulaziz Al-Muhawes achieved the 1st place title in the 110-kilometer-long equestrian endurance race. Furthermore, two of Alwaleed Philanthropies’ equestrians achieved the sixth and tenth place title.

Upon the completion of the race, and passing equestrian medical tests, two competitors were granted cars as an award from Alwaleed Philanthropies as part of a draw supervised by the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation. It is worth noting that Alwaleed Philanthropies achieved the 1st place title in last year’s Al Hussein International Endurance Competition for completing 120 km through its team member Abdulaziz Al Duwish.
