Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" Participates in The Middle East Fashion Exhibition, Dubai
Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global", chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, in collaboration with AlFaisaliah Association, participated at the Middle East Fashion Exhibition as part of their efforts to activate and support the role of Saudi women in the community. Sleysla’s participation at the Exhibition witnessed outstanding success. The exhibition, in honor of Sheikha Hind Al Qasimi, was held in Dubai’s International Financial Center. Sleysla products not only stood out at the exhibition but took undisputedly first place in capturing the audience’s attention.
Sleysla Center is a sustainable product of the strategic partnership between Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" and Al Faisaliah Association established in Jeddah in 2004, to cover the apparent gap in the production of locally manufactured goods through a local provider representing a modern Saudi identity. Furthermore, this project provides an important economic tributary for many craft producing families, while combating unemployment amongst Saudi women.
Ta’seel Program is part of “Hama” initiative which strides to enable Saudi women’s active participation in the handicrafts industry and preserving the heritage of Saudi Arabia as part of its National identity. Sleysla’s participation at the Exhibition is a great example of Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" strategic direction of 2014, in an effort to create synergies amongst the local and the global divisions. The Foundation aims to create International partnerships for the “Hama” Initiative through actively participating in the respective International workshops, exhibitions and conferences.
Respectfully, Al-Faisaliah Association was represented by Her Royal Highness Princess Fahda Bint Saud Bin Abdulaziz, and Ms. Fawzia Al-Tassan Director of the Association. Alwaleed Philanthropies "Global" was represented by Ms. Abir Kaki Secretary-General of the Foundation, Mrs. Nora Al-Malki, Executive Manager of Saudi Development Projects, and Ms. Nauf AlRawaf Executive Manager of International Projects Department.
