Alwaleed Philanthropies Attends The 3rd Kuwait Corporate Social Responsibility Conference & Exhibition “Our Community - Our Responsibility”
Alwaleed Philanthropies chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, attends The 3rd Kuwait Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Conference and Exhibition under the Patronage of HE Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce, Mr. Khaled Al-Radwan. The conference recognized Alwaleed Philanthropies as a successful model for change, innovation and a successful formula for corporate social responsibility initiatives, which is in line with Alwaleed Philanthropies’ goals to inspire Saudi women and youth to do the most good in the most effective way possible from within their community.
In attendance: Her Royal Highness Princess Lamia bint Majid AlSaud, the Secretary-General of Alwaleed Philanthropies and a member of the board was cordially invited as one of the keynote speakers. HRH’s opening remarks discusses the role of corporate social responsibility while exchanging experiences and ideas that have the capacity to shape our future. HRH also gave a synopsis of Alwaleed Philanthropies’ scope, work promoting local initiatives, and stated, “As philanthropists and global citizens we have a duty to do as much good as possible by supporting the most effective causes and confronting problems as early as possible.”
The 3rd Kuwait CSR Conference and Exhibitions aims to raise awareness on the vital role Gulf companies and foundations can play in the communities they serve. In addition, the conference serves as a platform for local and international CSR professionals to discuss how organizations use CSR to integrate economic, environmental and social objectives with their operations and growth. The two-day conference will highlight many topics on community activism and social responsibility. The event provides the most current developments and best practices in CSR and sustainability, with practical tools, resources, and examples that companies can utilize to transform their own organizations.
