Supporting Female Law Graduates

Thursday, 1 January, 2015

Alwaleed Foundation donated SAR 726,000 to Mawaddah Foundation in support of its training program for Saudi female law graduates.

Specifically designed for female law graduates, the program comprises a set of training modules in various specialized areas of law. With the aim of enrolling 500 graduates, the program focuses on a number of goals. These include ensuring justice in marital and family legal cases; qualifying new talents to represent cases in court, present pleadings, and provide legal consultation in civil cases; promoting a culture of legal rights related to family disputes; and encouraging human rights organizations to support Saudi women who pursue careers in law and highlight their significant role in community development.

Upon graduating from the program, trainees would have attained accredited legal qualifications – in line with the latest developments in the judicial and legal field – and gained the necessary skills and experience to practice law and represent civil cases in courts. They are also able to provide legal consultation services under the direct supervision of a specialized law and legal consultation firm.
