Prince Alwaleed Supports ROTA with $3 Million Dollars Through Alwaleed Philanthropies in its 6th Gala Dinner
HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Alwaleed Philanthropies Global (Registration no. 333- Lebanon), attended the ROTA (Reach Out To Asia) 6th Gala Dinner organized under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad-Al-Thani on November 19, 2016.
The 6th Gala was held at the Al Shaqab Indoor Arena of Qatar Foundation for Education, and attended by HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, Chairperson, HE Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, Chairperson, HE Sheikha Hind Bint Hamad Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al-Thani and Sheikh Thani Bin Hamad Al-Thani. The Gala was also attended by a delegation from Alwaleed Philanthropies that included Ms. Nauf Al Rawaf, Executive Manager of the Global Initiatives and Ms. Shams AlNifay, Project Officer of the Global Initiatives. From the private office, Ms. Hassna Alturki, Executive Manager for International Relations to HRH the Chairman, Mr. Ahmed Al Tobaishi, Executive Assistant to HRH, Mr. Mohammed AlFaraj, Assistant Manager of the Travel Department, from Rotana Mr. Turki Al-Shabana, President of TV and Mr. Jamal Khashoggi, General Manager of Al Arab News Channel.
Sheikha Al Mayassa welcomed Prince Alwaleed and discussed common interests in humanitarian and philanthropic activities and various issues. Moreover, Prince Alwaleed donated $3 Million to ROTA through Alwaleed Philanthropies in support of its numerous projects all around Asia that aim to empower children and provide them with the necessary education for a prosperous future. Sheikha Al Mayassa also highlighted the leading role of Alwaleed Philanthropies in supporting Rota, as the philanthropy has been the largest donor since its establishment.
“Reach out to Asia” is a Qatari-based non-profit organization under the auspices of the Qatar Foundation. The organization empowers local communities by providing access to quality primary and secondary education to children that have been affected by crisis across Asia.
